Videos are being sought to be
included in a new media project, Managing the Library,
which will be a web series featuring interviews with library directors and
managers from across the country talking about what makes a library manager
successful. The web series is scheduled to debut in the fall and will be
publicly distributed.
LMI is seeking videos from libraries throughout the United
States for inclusion in the series. The video should be no more than 12 minutes
long and should be 1920 x 1080 Full HD video at frame rates of 30 (29.97), 24
(23.976) or 25.0 frames per second. Your submitted video should be a
recorded interview with one or more members of your administrative team and
should address what makes a library manager successful in his or her job.
Special attention should be given to sharing your management philosophy,
your tips to new library managers, how you ensure optimum working
relationships with your staff, or any other advice you wish to share with your
colleagues.
The deadline to submit your
video for inclusion in the series is July 15, 2014. All
submissions should be sent to tcgvideo@yahoo.com.

and asked them about their ideas on what makes a great library manager. You can
